The wonderful staff are what makes Harding Street Medical Centre such a warm and friendly place as well as providing the very best medical care.

Special Interest: Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Removal of moles, Implanon insertion/removal

I believe in a whole person approach to health care with a focus on mental health and preventative health for the whole family as well as managing acute illnesses. I am trained to do Implanon removal and insertion and am happy to do minor surgical procedures such as mole removals. I am also accredited for maternity shared care with Mercy, Royal Womens, and Northern hospitals.

Dr Amy Nicholas

I enjoy the day to day work of a General Practitioner and like meeting the broad spectrum of patients who come my way for their first point of medical care visits. I have a number of special interests including skin cancer, travel medicine, paediatrics and minor surgical procedures.

Dr Matthew Long


Special Interest: Diabetes, Paediatrics, Travel Medicine, Musculoskeletal, Minor Surgery

I have been a General Practitioner for over 25 years and I have experience in all aspects of family medicine. I am particularly interested in Diabetes, Asthma, Children's Health, Sporting and Back Injuries, Skin Surgery, including all surface lumps and bumps, and Travel Medicine. I am qualified to provide Yellow Fever vaccinations certificates. In my private time I enjoy family life with my wife and three daughters. My interests include cooking, road cycling, tennis and attending gym classes.

Dr Michael Huang


Special Interest: Shared care, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Diabetes Management, Smoking Cessation

I have worked at Harding Street Medical Centre for approximately 25 years. I enjoy General Practice and am happy to see anyone who needs our care. I provide a home visit service on a weekly basis for Aged Care Facilities and other housebound people. I am affiliated with the Royal Women's Hospital, Mercy and Northern for Shared Antenatal Care.

Dr Margaret Eagle


Special Interest: Preventative Health, Counselling, Smoking Cessation

I started in General Practice in 1979 and still enjoy patient contact. The most exciting aspect for me is the ability to prevent the most common causes of death and illnesses. Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness and renal failure in Australia which can largely be prevented. We are able to prevent heart attacks completely with medication and life style changes. A majority of my consultations revolve around these exciting illness prevention areas. Dr Day prides himself on his punctuality.

I joined Harding Street Medical Centre in 1996. I enjoy the diversity of patients in these communities. I am interested in Preventative Health and Well-Being. I am affiliated with the Royal Women's Hospital, Mercy and Northern Hospital for Shared Ante-natal/Pregnancy care.

Dr Susan MacGill


Special Interest: Preventive health

I arrived in Australia as a 7 year old Vietnamese boat-person and a generous Australia supported my path to a career in medicine. As a GP I am interested in building long term patient-doctor relationships founded on trust and mutual respect. I am particularly interested in preventative health. I work part-time and devote the rest of my time to my wife and twin daughters, and to my love of oil painting

It's been a pleasure being part of the high quality team at Harding Street Medical Centre . My favourite thing about General Practice is the diversity of healthcare and patients I get to meet every day. My special interests are Women’s Health, Sexual Health, Paediatrics, Travel Health, performing skin checks and cutting out skin lesions.  I have attained a Paediatric Diploma of Child Health and currently attaining a Certificate in Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health. I believe in promoting an all round healthy lifestyle, and preventative health is an important part.

I can do removals and insertions of  Implanon, Mirena/Hormonal  and Copper Intra Uterine Devices.

I have been working at Harding Street as a General Practitioner for 3 years. My special interests are Paediatrics,  Sexual Health, Travel Health, Genetics and Women’s Health. I have completed a Paediatric Diploma of Child Health. I also have a interest in genetics with a Diploma of Genetic Counselling. I believe that a healthy lifestyle is important for everyone in order to maintain and improve health and that preventative medicine is a very important part of my job. 

Outside of work, my interests include cooking, travelling, and spending time with my dog, Frankie.

Dr Rebecca Wong

MBBS, FRACGP, Advanced trainee ACEM 

I am passionate about assisting patients in making informed health decisions. I use a holistic approach and acknowledge how illness affects life, relationships and family. I love the fast pace of emergency medicine and the experience it has given me when looking after people in a crisis. I also like the opportunities that come with working in General Practice as I enjoy forming strong relationships with all community members.

Dr Angie Read


It’s a privilege to be part of the excellent team providing high quality care at Harding Street Medical Centre, from clinical staff through to reception staff and managers. I have a broad range of general practice experience and prioritise good communication. My medical interests include Paediatric and Adolescent health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Travel Medicine. I work casual hours at Harding Street Medical Centre, so my days can change. I have skills in Contraceptive Implant and Hormonal Intrauterine Device insertion and removal, and Shared Antenatal Care.

I am excited to be back at Harding St this year. I have previously worked in city and rural hospitals in both inpatient adult medicine and emergency medicine. I enjoy general practice because it allows me to build a therapeutic relationship with my patients and assist them in achieving their best possible outcomes. My special interests include chronic disease management, infectious diseases and diabetes. Outside of medicine I enjoy cooking, travel and literature., and of course spending time with my daughters.

Dr Martin Wardle


I enjoy looking after the whole person and seeing multiple members and generations of the same family. The relationships that we build with our patients over time are the most rewarding aspect of this work. 

I enjoy all aspects of General Practice. Our physical and mental health often take a backseat in our busy lives and I relish the challenge of helping people understand their health and improve where they can.

Dr Melanie Simpson


I studied medicine at the University of Melbourne upon completion of his undergraduate degree. After finishing medical school, I worked at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne where I was also seconded to Werribee Mercy and Warrnambool Base hospitals.

After working for a few years as a hospital resident, I decided that preventative medicine and the breadth of General Practice was what interested me. In 2018 I began my General Practice training and have greatly enjoyed working in the community.

I am particularly passionate about the health of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as sexual health and am always keen to discuss PreP.

I am thrilled to join the team at Harding Street Medical. I feel very lucky to work as a GP and enjoy working together with my patients and their family to improve their health outcomes and help them navigate our health system. I completed my medical training at University of Melbourne and then spent 3 years gaining hospital experience at Royal Children's Hospital, Sunshine hospital, Northern Hospital. I have also completed a Diploma of Child Health and Certificate of Women's Health. You will find that I like to focus on preventive health and have a holistic approach to your healthcare. When I am not working you will find me bike riding, bouldering, enjoying time with my young family and sipping on a good coffee.

I love the variety of general practice. My interests include paediatrics, travel medicine, men's health, mental health and chronic disease management. My background prior to medicine includes arts, economics, global health and music. Outside work I enjoy cooking, travel and hanging out with the family.

Dr Ned Molesworth


I am very happy to be joining the team at Harding Street Medical in 2021. I’m a Melbourne local and am fortunate to live in the melting-pot that makes our vibrant culture. General Practice has thus-far given me the opportunity to get to know patients along their journey and work with them to create positive health outcomes. I wish to continue that work here, in all aspects of General Practice. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and sampling the delicacies on offer around town.

Dr Michael Valente


I am delighted to be joining the team at Harding Street. My special interests include skin cancers and skin care, family planning, paediatric and adolescent health. I also like working with older people with complex health conditions. Before working in general practice I worked as a hospital doctor for several years in surgery, and enjoy applying the skills I acquired to perform small skin and other procedures.

When I'm not at work you may find me on the bike path riding (fair-weather only) or running. I like spending time with my family, friends and most of all my new nephew. My passions apart from people are good journalism, interesting places,  good food, wine, the occasional hike, fashion and music.

Dr Clare Wilson -  Currently on Maternity Leave

I graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 2012. 

Since then I’ve been fortunate to accrue a wide range of medical experiences, mainly in internal medicine at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where I’ve completed most of my training before deciding to specialise in General Practice.

My interests are chronic disease management, geriatric medicine and sexual health.

I believe that the doctor-patient relationship is based on mutual understanding, respect and trust.

I see the potential in good primary care and will always aim to provide medical care to the highest of standards.

Dr Jon-Paul Chamoun


I am excited to be returning to the Harding Street team after my maternity leave. 

You will find that I like to focus on preventive health and I like to work together with my patients and their family to improve their health outcomes and help them navigate the complex health system. I have a broad range of clinical experience having trained across various hospitals in Metropolitan Melbourne and I have completed a Diploma of Child Health and Certificate of Women's Health.

My special interests include: Women's health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management, Implanon insertion, Minor procedures and Skin checks. 

Outside of work you will find me chasing my two young boys around the local parks, bike riding, playing music and sipping on a good coffee.

Dr Martina Marinkovic


I am honoured to join the esteemed team at Harding Street Medical centre. Prior to entering General Practice I worked at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Austin Hospital in various areas of internal medicine and Geriatrics.  I have also volunteered overseas in Cambodia, Laos and Peru, and I have a Diploma of Paediatrics and Certificate of Travel Medicine.

I enjoy helping my patients understand their medical issues and working together with them to come up with treatment approaches. I practice evidence based medicine. My particular areas of interest are complex care and chronic disease patients.
I am a native Spanish speaker. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my kids and being in nature.

I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2015 and went on to work at Western Health before beginning my training in General Practice. I enjoy the diversity that General Practice has to offer and welcome patients at all stages of life. I have undertaken extra training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. My interests include Women's Health, sexual Health, Travel Health and Preventative Medicine. 

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, live music and hiking.
